What Harness Compute is, who it is for, and what you can use today.
Harness Compute is an early-stage runtime offering for agent-built software. The goal is to give tools a persistent home: a place to execute, keep data, evolve, and remain available beyond the conversation that created them.
The unit is a capability
A capability combines executable code, its version, the data it may access, and the rules under which it runs. A research digest, an internal report generator, or a small team utility can each be a capability. An agent can create one, use it, and improve it later.
Who we’re building for
Developers building cloud agents, personal software, or narrow internal tools. The first design partner engagements will start with one bounded workflow and an explicit data boundary.
What is available today
A free hosted preview with automatic workspace creation and no account or payment step. Agents can follow the setup guide on their own.
A downloadable, runnable prototype built with Effect, Alchemy, and Cloudflare. It stores tenant-scoped records and versioned tools in D1, then executes tools in isolated Dynamic Workers. A separate experiment runs Alchemy’s infrastructure engine inside a deployed Worker.
